California State University is accepting applications for:

  • Spring 2022 from August 1-30, 2021.
  • Fall 2022 from October 1-November 30, 2021.

CSU Application Workshops:

Application workshops are available in August, October and November at many CSU campuses.   Yuba College will offer application review appointments with Yuba College Counselors.  Participate in a workshop or use the Application Guide or You Tube Videos to complete your application.  Before submitting, have a counselor review your application if you are uncertain about any part of the application.

Sending Official Transcripts to CSU Chico

Send your official transcripts from all schools attended, and military credit(opens in new window) if applicable, by the document deadline or your application may be withdrawn. We accept official transcripts via two methods – paper or electronic (if the sending institution supports this method).

  1. Electronic transcripts should be sent directly from the originating institution to the Office of Admissions. If an email address is required use info@csuchico.edu
  2. Sealed paper transcripts should be mailed to Office of Admissions, CSU, Chico, 400 W. First Street, Chico, CA 95929-0722.
  3. Please send only ONE official copy per institution and keep your order receipt as documentation. It can take up to two weeks to process your transcript. Items no longer on the to-do list have been received.

Accepting lower division and upper division transfer applications for SP 22 (August 1-20, 2021)

San Jose State University

CSU General Information:

Minimum Eligibility for CSU Upper Division (Junior level) Transfer Admission:

  • 60 CSU transferable units with a minimum 2.0 GPA in all CSU transferable units including :
    • a minimum of 30 units of general education with “C-” or better grades including the “Golden Four” (all of AREA A and B4 CSU GE-B or AREA 1 and 2 IGETC)

To be best prepared  for transfer, it is recommended that students:

  • Complete the entire  CSU GE-B 2020-2021  (CSU General Education-Breadth) or                                                  IGETC 2020-2021 (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum)
      • Note:  Beginning Fall 2021, students may earn a Certificate of Achievement for completing the CSU GE-B or IGETC.  Students may add either program through the YC Admissions Office or by sending the Student Data Change Form to ycadmissions@yccd.edu.
  •  Major Preparation  (see counselor for details)
    • Major preparation can be discussed with a Yuba College Counselor or College/University Representative or can be found on ASSIST  https://assist.org/

 

  • Priority application filing period
    • Fall Quarter or Fall Semester: October 1 – November 30 
    • Spring Quarter or Spring Semester: August 1 – 31
