Jason Hampton, a Rocklin, Ca., native, enters his 2nd season as Head Coach at Yuba College. Jason spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Yuba as Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. He was promoted to the role of Head Coach in the summer of 2019.
Jason spent three years prior to Yuba coaching at the division 2 level in South Dakota & Minnesota. Jason spent the 2015 and 2016 season at Northern State University as a graduate assistant. Hampton helped guide NSU to the NSIC Tournament in both seasons, in which the team finished fourth and fifth. In May of 2016 Hampton graduated from NSU with his Master’s degree in Sports Performance and Leadership.
In 2016 Hampton took over as top assistant and recruiting coordinator at Bemidji State University. While at BSU the Beavers finished with the most wins since 2014. Jason began his college coaching career at his alma mater Sacramento State University as Director of Baseball Operations in 2014. During the 2014 season the Hornets won the Western Athletic Conference and played in their first ever NCAA tournament. The Hornets broke a D1 school record in wins that season with 40, win number 40 came against Arizona State in the San Luis Obispo Regional.
Hampton has also coached in multiple summer leagues starting in the summer of 2014 when he served as pitching coach for the Wisconsin Woodchucks a member of the prestigious Northwoods Leauge. Hampton helped guide the Woodchucks to the 2014 NWL playoffs. Most recently, Hampton served as pitching coach for the Sacramento Heat in 2016, the Heat are members of the GSCBL.
In the winter of 2013, Hampton graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in organizational communications. Hampton pitched for the Hornets and also saw time at 1B/DH. Sacramento State improved its win total each season Hampton was a part of the team, finishing with 34 wins in 2013.
The Cincinnati Reds drafted Hampton in the 47th round of the MLB’s 2009 First Year Player Draft out of Rocklin High School as a pitcher. Jason is currently an instructor in the Yuba College Health & Kinesiology department.
Jason Currently resides in Loomis with his wife Cara with their Twins Grayson & McKinley.

Bob Will begin his first season at Yuba College. He will work primarily with pitchers. Bob Blankenship, a native of Placentia, Graduated and played baseball at El Dorado High School in Placenta, Ca.
Played at Cypress Community College for Scott Pickler where he received a baseball scholarship to Sacramento State University.
played at Sac State University from 87-89 for Coach John Smith finishing runner up at the 1988 College World Series and West Regionals in 1989.
The Cincinnati Reds drafted Blankenship in the 21st round of the 1989 MLB’s First Year Player Draft.
In 2017 Bob’s 1988 World Series team was Inducted into the Sacramento State Hall Fame.
Following his baseball career Bob returned Sacramento State University and earned his Bachelors degree in Social Sciences/Sociology.
Bob coached varsity baseball at Kennedy High School and for the last 4 years has coached at Woodcreek High School.
For the last 28 years Bob has spent time coaching and conducting private pitching lessons.
Bob is retired from a 28 year law enforcement career and resides in Roseville with his wife Janice, daughter CJ who currently runs track at UCSB, and son Tyler who is a senior at Woodcreek High School were he currently plays Baseball.
