Rene Villegas begins his first season as the Men’s Soccer Head Coach. He began his coaching career at Yuba under Coach Imed Dossy in 2007 for the Men\u2019s Soccer team. He assisted them to conference championships in 2008, 2009, & 2010. In 2010 they had the best record in Yuba College Soccer history at 15-3-3, and won a playoff game for the first time. In 2011-2012 Rene was Appeal-Democrat Coach of the Year for the Yuba City girl\u2019s varsity soccer team and won a playoff game that has not been achieved in eight years.
\nCoach Villegas played competitive soccer since childhood, played at Yuba City High School, then moved on to play at Yuba College.
\nRene has his Bachelors from Chico State in Kinesiology with an option in physical education, and has a Masters in Kinesiology with an option in coaching. He is an instructor at Yuba College where he teaches weight training, soccer, nutrition and does sport conditioning for athletes, and is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
