Admissions Frequently Asked Questions

Yuba College is a public, two-year community college that awards credit which may be transferred to four-year colleges and universities. 

Yuba College admits the following students:

  • High school graduates;
  • California High School Proficiency Certificate holders;
  • General Education Development (GED) Certificate holders;
  • High school students eligible to attend under the College Early Start Program or Dual; Enrollment program
  • Other persons 18 years of age or older who can benefit from training offered on the basis of:
    • a standardized test,
    • other measurement instruments, or
    • other verifiable indicators (i.e., recommendations from professional educators or counselors who are not employed or affiliated with San Joaquin Delta College)

 

Yes, you can attend Yuba College even if you are not a US Citizen or permanent resident. Follow the steps for an Undocumented Student to Apply and Enroll at Yuba College. After you have submitted your application, visit the Admissions, Registration & Records office to inquire about eligibility for California Nonresident Tuition Exemption and establishing residency.
If you’re a student with a disability, first complete the application to Delta College. After you’ve submitted the application, visit the office of Disability Support Programs & Service (DSPS) to learn about the additional steps and support for registering and receiving support services.
As a Veteran, you will follow the same steps as all New Students for applying and registering at Yuba College. After you have applied to the College, visit the office of Financial Aid, Scholarships and Veterans Services for more information on veterans Benefits programs you may be eligible for.
