Application Guide<\/h1>\n

1. Before pursuing a career in nursing, it is important to determine whether this profession is the right fit for you. Nursing is a challenging and rewarding profession that requires resilience, compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Nurses provide care during some of the most vulnerable moments in patients’ lives and must be prepared to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Success in nursing requires strong critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, effective communication, excellent time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while ensuring patient safety. Nurses must also work collaboratively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams and\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0ethical behavior, integrity, accountability, respect, and compassion in every patient interaction.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Nursing\u00a0school is\u00a0designed to prepare students for the realities of professional practice through\u00a0<\/span> rigorous coursework, laboratory experiences, simulation, and diverse clinical rotations. Because\u00a0<\/span> the curriculum mirrors the demands of the profession, nursing school is a full-time commitment\u00a0<\/span> with a demanding schedule and limited flexibility.
