Academic rigor encompasses legal and moral aspects, primary and secondary patient assessments, interventions, proper use of emergency medical equipment, recognizing signs and symptoms, and pathophysiology of medical emergencies and traumatic injuries. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take the National Registry EMT certifying examination and qualify for a California State EMT certification.
