PREREQUISITE COURSES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

1. High School graduate or equivalent.
\n2. 18 years of age or older.
\n3. Successful completion of the following with a grade of “C\u201d or higher<\/p>\n

*BIOL4 Human Anatomy
\n*BIOL5 Human Physiology
\n*One Math or Statistics course with a Math 52-Intermediate Algebra prerequisite (meets local GE Area 2- Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning)
\n*ENGL C1000 Academic Reading and Writing (formerly ENGL 1A College Composition and Reading) or ENGL C1000E Academic Reading and Writing (formerly ENGL 1E English
\nComposition and Reading Extended Instruction) (Meets local GE Area 1A-English Composition)
\n*COMM C1000 Introduction to Public Speaking (formerly SPECH 1 Public Speaking), SPECH 6 Small Group Communication, SPECH 7 Interpersonal Communication, or SPECH 8
\nIntercultural Communication (COMM C1000, SPECH 6, and SPECH 7 meet local GE Area 18-Oral Communication and Critical Thinking; SPECH 8 will NOT be accepted for admission criteria beyond the Fall 2025 application cycle<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

One course from the local GE Area 3-Arts and Humanities
\nOne course from the local GE Area 5-Natural Sciences
\nOne course from the local GE Area 4-Social and Behavioral Sciences
\nOne course from the local GE Area 6-Ethnic Studies (now required for 2026 application cycle)<\/p>\n

NOTE: Courses may be transferred from another accredited college or university but must be equivalent to those listed above.<\/p>\n

4. All immunizations are complete with documentation of immunity (or non-conversion status)<\/p>\n

Graduation Requirement Checklist<\/a><\/p>\n

Please note that BIOL 1 or 15 is required (at Yuba College) before you may take BIOL 4 and 5.\u00a0 BIOL 1 or 15 meets the Area A (Natural Science) graduation requirements.<\/p>\n

Any questions in regards to the equivalent course cannot be addressed by the Program faculty.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is suggested that students meet with a counselor before submission of an application to ensure they meet all graduation requirements.\u00a0 \u00a0 Please contact a Yuba College counselor at (530) 634-7766 or visit the website at https:\/\/yc.yccd.edu\/student\/counseling<\/a> .<\/strong><\/p>\n

NOTE: Courses may be transferred from another accredited college or university but must be equivalent to those listed above. If a course completed at another accredited college or university does not have articulation or there is a question about its equivalency to the Yuba College prerequisite courses, then an applicant is encouraged to complete a petition form to officially establish equivalency prior to application to the Rad Tech Program.<\/div>\n
Steps to complete the petition process:<\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Schedule an appointment with a Yuba College counselor to complete the petition form. To schedule an appointment, call (530) 634-7766 or join the Zoom room link to get assistance with scheduling:\u00a0https:\/\/cccconfer.zoom.us\/j\/93958838133<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Request an official transcript from the college of attendance for the course being petitioned and have the transcript sent to the Yuba College Admissions and Records Office prior to the counseling appointment.\u00a0 \u00a03.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Obtain a course syllabus from the academic department of the college of attendance for the completed course.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0Provide the course syllabus to your counselor via their Yuba College email address.<\/li>\n
  5. Complete your portion of the Yuba College Student Petition Form and email it to your counselor\u2019s Yuba College email:\u00a0Student-Petition-Revised.9.8.22_Fillable-1.pdf<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Counselor will work with you to research the course to determine if it appears to be equivalent and, if it is, will complete their portion of the petition and forward the petition packet to the Office of the Vice President of Student Services (VPSS.)<\/li>\n

    Petitioner will be notified of the outcome of the petition by the VPSS via petitioner\u2019s email.
