Email: bseva@yccd.edu

Coach Brian has been coaching for 25+ years, the last 11 years on the dirt. It’s what he loves to do. So many life lessons are learned through sport and the opportunity to have a positive impact on every player is a privilege. He focuses a lot on the mental game. He believes that the confidence to play free and not fear making a mistake is a superpower.

His softball coaching journey at Five Cities in Loomis coaching rec, Coach Brian started the Screaming Eagles B (select) program and coached that for 4 years. In 2018 he moved to LTG where he built the 2022 team and finished with the 2023 team. After 6 years coaching the Granite Bay High School Varsity team and one year as an assistant to legendary coach Darci Brownell at Sierra College, He took over the Yuba College Softball program in July 2023.

In his first year at Yuba, the team went 22-16 and was the GVC conference champion in its first year in the conference. That team produced four 1st team and three 2nd team all-conference players. This includes All State player Faith Epperson (Sacramento State), who led the state in stolen bases and All North player Jerzie Brown. Both finished inside the top 10 in batting average. The 2024 team owned the 8th ranked offense in the state. He feels the Yuba area is talent rich in softball and can support a powerhouse in the state.
