Ms. Loghry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the School of Medicine University of California, Davis. She is certified in public health through the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Additionally she has completed veterinary homeland security certification, HACCP certification, HAZWOPER training, ICS-100/200 and is an OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer.
Highly organized and proficient in both face-to-face and online educational delivery formats Ms. Loghry has created and currently teaches courses in occupational health and safety, public health and infectious disease, food safety and security. With proven expertise in program evaluation and assessment of program efficacy, Bonnie has successfully aligned program goals with state and federal compliance standards so that this career technical program has maintained continued full accreditation status for over twenty years.
With an enthusiastic and outgoing personality Ms. Loghry is at ease working with a variety of individuals from a diverse spectrum of professional, cultural and educational backgrounds. She is a dynamic and experienced public speaker at local and regional conferences and currently volunteers her time delivering public health messaging designed to educate and combat domestic violence and trafficking in persons.
Ms. Loghry regularly works on public health projects globally, most recently in Haiti, Bangladesh and Africa consulting on women’s issues, animal agriculture, public health and food security.
Ms. Loghry is a recipient of the Linda Markland Outstanding RVT of the Year awarded by the CVMA. She is known for her dedication to the registered veterinary technician profession. She leads by example and her colleagues find her enthusiasm both inspiring and motivating. Ms. Loghry has provided balance, direction and a personal flair to the Veterinary Technology Program at Yuba College in Marysville for over 30 years. She is an instructor in the Veterinary Technology Program and a Risk Assessment and Safety Specialist. Her colleagues say she is the poster technician, carrying the banner to new graduates as well as seasoned professionals. She promotes veterinary technology as a career at local schools, leads the student chapter of NAVTA, creates mentor programs, and promotes continuing education in her program’s graduates. Ms. Loghry also volunteers as a surgical technician at her local SPCA, travels worldwide to train technicians and veterinarians, and has served as a subject matter expert for the California State Veterinary Board of Examiners. In summary, Ms. Loghry is a fantastic role model for future RVTs.
