Fulfills the requirements for a Class C Firefighter Endorsement.

This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to operate and perform preventative maintenance on a pumping apparatus. Topics include routine tests, inspections, and servicing functions; producing hand, master, and foam fire streams; relay pump operations; and supplying water to fire sprinkler and standpipe systems. Students must be FF1 certified have previously completed Driver Operator 1A
FIRTC 60 (M****)— Fire Academy Prerequisite
July 24 – 26, 2026 (Fall Firefighter 1 & 2 Academy Pre-requisite)
(In-person) Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am to 5pm, Room 2139
This course fulfills the California State Title 22 requirements designed to give the entry level rescuer/firefighter, peace officer and lifeguard training in First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED. The course includes training in the following areas: CPR, AED, patient assessment, splinting, bleeding control, bandaging, airway management, shock treatment, medical emergencies, trauma emergencies, infectious disease control, and emergency childbirth. Certificates earned: American Heart Association BLS/CPR card and Public Safety First Aid Title 22, both valid for 2 years.
