What is MESA?
MESA (Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement) is an award-winning academic achievement program which supports educationally disadvantaged community college students who plan to transfer to 4-year institutions and attain degrees in math-based fields.
To increase and support student diversity and achievement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. At Yuba College, MESA works towards establishing an inclusive environment in which students receive opportunities for peer support, information-sharing, career options, scholarships, internships, and special programs.

Interested? The Yuba College MESA Program is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2020 semester.
Currently MESA has programs in 40 of California’s 110 community colleges and serves less than 0.5% of the one million full time community college students in the state. But MESA students account for 10% of all Latino STEM transfers, 13% of all African American STEM transfers, and 20% of all Native American STEM transfers in California. 100% of MESA community college students who transfer to four-year institutions pursue STEM majors.
