both bio courses

If earned an A in BIOL 430 and a B in BIOL 431

This is how it would be entered on the nursing application:

Anatomy: BIOL 430,431, 5 units Grade: A

Physiology: BIOL 430,431, 5 units Grade: B

Example: Biology Lake Tahoe the anatomy and physiology courses are taught together in a three-course sequence

Lake Tahoe 3 bios

You will split the units as evenly as possible in the course areas and place the grade you earned in each course.

If you earned an A in BIO 203, an B in BIO 204, and a B in BIO 205

Each course above is worth 5 units

This is how it would be entered on the nursing application:

Anatomy: BIO203,204,205, 7.5 units, Grade: A

Physiology: BIO203,204,205, 7.5 units, Grade: A

Example: Anatomy taught as a two-course sequence

Human Anatomy BIO 7A 2.5 units

Human Anatomy BIO 7B 2.5 units

You would need to calculate the grade to input into the application as a whole grade: A/B/C

For example: Bio 7A 2.5 units with grade A, Bio 7B 2.5 units would be entered as a grade of a B
5 semester units in the Anatomy section of the application

7.5 grade pts, 3.50 GPA = B

2.5 units + 2.5 units = 5 units
2.5 x 4 (A) = 10
2.5 x 3 (B) = 7.5
10 + 7.5 = 17.5
17.5 / 5 units = 3.5 GPA = B
B = 3 in our Merit Based tool as we only accept whole grades
