Once accepted to the Radiologic Technology program, you will be required to complete a background check.  While the Program only goes back 7 years in the check, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (the agency which will register and certify you as a technologist) will cover your entire history, as will many of our clinical sites.  You must disclose ANY misdemeanor or felony. It is highly recommended you contact the ARRT and follow their process for an ethics review.  If the ARRT will not certify and register you due to a violation, you will not be allowed to work as a Radiographer.  Our clinical sites may also refuse to allow you into their site due to a violation. If that happens, you would be dropped from the program.

Many of our clinical sites also perform their own background screening.  If a clinical site will not accept you due to an issue in your background screening, there is a good chance you will be unable to fulfill your clinical obligation to the program.
