Yuba County Health & Human Services (YCHHS) is committed to supporting Yuba College students by providing essential services directly on the Marysville Campus. This partnership ensures that students facing economic challenges have the resources they need to thrive academically and personally.
Programs and Services Offered at Yuba College (Marysville Campus):
- CalWORKs: Offers cash assistance, housing support, educational plans, job readiness training, and supportive services like transportation and childcare to help students achieve self-sufficiency. - CalFresh: Provides food assistance to improve nutrition, food security, and economic stability for low-income students and their families.
- Medi-Cal: Delivers comprehensive health coverage, including mental health care, maternal support, substance use disorder services, and chronic disease management, promoting health equity among students.

Our Commitment: Yuba College’s partnership with Yuba County Health & Human Services is a key element of our student support strategy, ensuring students have access to the essential resources they need to succeed. Since July 2022, nearly 72% of Yuba College students have utilized basic needs services, making this collaboration more important than ever. Our Basic Needs Specialist works closely with YCHHS to provide personalized support to our most vulnerable students, reaching nearly 45% of Yuba County’s student population and helping them thrive in their educational journey.
