Upon completion of courses in the ESL program, students will be able to: (1) Use reading and vocabulary skills to read and understand a variety of written texts. (2) Write paragraphs with correct grammatical structures. (3) Understand and produce grammatically correct compound and complex sentences. - ESL.PSLO2 (ISLO: Critical Thinking)
Upon completion of courses in our program, students will be able to: (1) Demonstrate ability to write coherent expository essays and summaries at a level sufficient to transition to ENG 105. (2) Demonstrate ability to produce and comprehend advanced grammatical structures at a level sufficient to transition to ENG 105 (or higher).
Foreign and Sign Language PSLOs

Effectively use elements of video and audio production to communicate verbally and non-verbally the objectives of the finished product appropriate for the audience and purpose. - MCOMM.PSLO2 (ISLO: Critical Thinking)
Analysis of story content to identify the most effective method of scripting and production aesthetics to accomplish the project goals. - MCOMM.PSLO3 (ISLO: Technological Awareness)
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to select and utilize different technical tools completing projects and jobs in the field. They will be able to utilize video and audio production techniques and an array of complicated software to implement their communication purposes. - MCOMM.PSLO4 (ISLO: Information Competency)
Students will have a broad understanding of the mass media and will learn to become an active participant of the media they choose for their own specific reason.
