Advice:
Never stop here! Always look for opportunities to expand your horizon. Look for additional training and chances to network. You never know who you might meet along the way!
Experience:
I have a passion for adult education. I am a lifelong Yuba/Sutter resident and have had many opportunities to serve the adult learners in the community. I began my career in adult education as an instructor for credit deficient high school students and adult students seeking a second chance at a high school diploma. I continued the adventure at Butte College where I was an instructor in the Business Computer Information Systems department for 12 years. In addition, I have worked with adults seeking higher education through Cambridge Junior College and the Yuba County office of education.
I am happy to become part of the Yuba College family. I look forward to celebrating your success from within our programs
Education/Credentials:
I hold an AS from Yuba College, a BS from University of LaVerne, a teaching credential from CSU San Bernardino and a MBA from National University. In the fall of 2018 I will be a student once again attending CSU San Diego to obtain my supervision and coordination credential specializing in adult education.
Things I like to do outside of work:
In my free time, I am a soccer mom, dance, and lacrosse mom and a frequent volunteer within the community. I am a firm believer in a “hand up” rather than a “hand out” so my volunteer work often involves providing essentials for the homeless and assisting in finding the resources needed to succeed. I enjoy time outdoors and spend many of my vacations at the beach.
