Level One Academic or Progress Probation
You have been placed on Level 1 Academic Probation or Level 1 Progress Probation for failing to meet the Academic Standards. Please register for one of the probation workshops listed below.
Based on your academic standing, a COUNSELING HOLD will be placed on your Yuba College account. You are REQUIRED to attend an Academic/Progress Probation Workshop and an Academic Success follow-up appointment with a counselor to remove the Counseling hold.
Level 1 Academic and Progress Probation requirements are outlined below:
- Level 1 Academic Probation – Students who fail to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) are placed on Level 1 Academic Probation.
- Level 1 Progress Probation – When the percentage of all units in which they have enrolled and for which notations of “W”, “I”, and “NP” exceed 50%, (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) students are placed on Level 1 Progress Probation.
To ensure the Counseling hold does not affect your Spring 2021 registration, complete the Academic Probation process before November 1, 2020.

Level Two Academic or Progress Probation
You have been placed on Level 2 Academic Probation or Level 2 Progress Probation for failing to meet the Academic Standards. Please register for one of the probation workshops listed below.
Based on your academic standing, a COUNSELING HOLD will be placed on your Yuba College account. You are REQUIRED to attend an Academic/Progress Probation Workshop and an Academic Success follow-up appointment with a counselor to remove the Counseling hold.
Level 2 Academic and Progress Probation requirements are outlined below:
- Level 2 Academic Probation – Students who fail to maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) for two contiguous semesters are placed on Level 2 Academic Probation.
- Level 2 Progress Probation – When the percentage of all units in which they have enrolled, and for which notations of “W”, “I”, and “NP” exceed 50% for two contiguous semesters, (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) students are placed on Level 2 Progress Probation.
To ensure the Counseling hold does not affect your Spring 2021 registration, complete the Academic Probation process before November 1, 2020.
