Travis Smith, PhDBio: For a little more than a decade I have been a Professor of History at Yuba College. I hold a doctorate in History from the University of California at Santa Barbara (2007). Prior to that, I earned a master’s degree in History from Sacramento State University (2001) and a bachelor’s degree in History from San Jose State University (1997). In 2012-2013, I served as a Fulbright Scholar at Dōngběi Shīfàn Dàxué (Northeast Normal University) in Changchun, People’s Republic of China. I returned to China during the summer of 2014 to teach United States History as a Foreign Expert at Nankai University in Tianjin.
