At Yuba College, we believe you should have the opportunity to achieve your goals without going into debt. If you're a recent high school graduate, you have the opportunity to qualify for financial support through one or both of our Promise programs.

California College Promise Grant

for California REsidents

The California College Promise Grant is a state-sponsored program which waives enrollment fees for qualifying students.

Yuba College Promise

for all YC Students 

The Yuba College Promise program will pay tuition for first-time, full-time students up to 15 units per semester at any YC campus.

How to apply for these Promise programs

1. Apply to Yuba College

If you haven't already applied to Yuba College within the last year, you will first need to complete your application for Yuba College. You will need this in order to have a login to complete your Promise application.

2. Complete the FAFSA OR Dream Act Application

Complete the FAFSA to apply for aid, or if you’re an undocumented, Dream Act-eligible student, then submit the CA Dream Act Application.

List Yuba College as your college of choice. Use school code 001344

For California Residents

Do one of the following to determine your eligibility and apply:
  • Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application above
  • Or complete the CCPG application if you don't plan to submit the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
Yuba College Promise

for Yuba College Students 

Program Eligibility
  • Be a first-time college student (includes students who earned college units while still in high school)
  • Attend any of our 2 campuses:
    • Marysville Campus
    • Sutter County Campus
  • Be a CA resident or AB540-eligible
  • Enroll full-time in 12 or more units during Fall or Spring terms
    • Students With Disabilities: A student enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be deemed “full time” if the student has been certified as “full time” by a staff person in the DSPS program who is qualified to make such a designation. Please contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss this option.
