Kanyon Rice has built a reputation as both a standout competitor and a dedicated student-athlete. A graduate of Rocklin High School, Rice was a four-year varsity starter, developing into one of the program’s most consistent leaders on the court.

Now at Yuba College, Rice has continued that success at the collegiate level, helping lead the program to back-to-back BVC Championships while establishing himself as one of the conference’s top players. His impact earned him BVC Most Valuable Player honors as well as First Team All-State recognition, highlighting his performance among the best players in California.

Rice’s commitment extends beyond basketball. He was also recognized with a First Team All-State Academic Award, reflecting the same discipline and work ethic in the classroom that he shows on the court.

With a strong foundation built on leadership, perseverance, and academic excellence, Rice continues to pursue his academic and professional goals while representing Yuba College at the highest level. He is majoring in psychology and plans to finish his collegiate basketball career at a 4 year. Regarding his is career goals Kanyon says, ” to hopefully stay close to basketball for my job as either a coach or a trainer.”
