Level One Academic or Progress Warning
You have been placed on Level 1 Academic Warning or Level 1 Progress Warning for failing to meet the Academic Standards. Please schedule a counseling appointment to discuss your academic status.
Based on your academic standing, a COUNSELING HOLD will be placed on your Yuba College account. You are REQUIRED to complete an academic warning appointment with a counselor to remove the Counseling hold.
Level 1 Academic and Progress Warning requirements are outlined below:
- Level 1 Academic Warning – Students who fail to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) are placed on Level 1 Academic Warning.
- Level 1 Progress Warning – When the percentage of all units in which the student has enrolled and for which notations of “W”, “I”, and “NP” exceed 50%, (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted), the student is placed on Level 1 Progress Warning.
To ensure the Counseling hold does not affect your Fall 2025 registration, schedule and complete the Academic Warning process before March 20, 2025.

Level Two Academic or Progress Warning
You have been placed on Level 2 Academic Warning or Level 2 Progress Warning for failing to meet the Academic Standards. Please schedule a counseling appointment to discuss your academic status.
Based on your academic standing, a COUNSELING HOLD will be placed on your Yuba College account. You are REQUIRED to complete an academic warning appointment with a counselor to remove the Counseling hold.
Level 2 Academic and Progress Warning requirements are outlined below:
- Level 2 Academic Warning – Students who fail to maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted) for two continuous semesters are placed on Level 2 Academic Warning.
- Level 2 Progress Warning – When the percentage of all units in which the student has enrolled, and for which notations of “W”, “I”, and “NP” exceed 50% for two continuous semesters, (ONLY Yuba Community College District courses are counted), the student is placed on Level 2 Progress Warning.
To ensure the Counseling hold does not affect your Fall 2025 registration, schedule and complete the Academic Warning process before March 20, 2025.
