University of California Transfer Admission Planner (TAP)

TAP is a free online tool to help CA community college students who are considering transferring to UC.

Completed and planned coursework can be entered at any time.
Students can track their progress toward meeting UC’s requirements.
UC staff can communicate information to prospective transfer students.

Application filing periods

Fall quarter/semester 2025: October 1–November 30, 2024

UC Berkeley and UC Merced are on the semester system calendar while all other campuses are on the quarter system calendar. All campuses typically accept applications for the fall term. Winter/spring UC transfer opportunities are limited.
