University of California Transfer Admission Planner (TAP)

TAP is a free online tool to help CA community college students who are considering transferring to UC.

Completed and planned coursework can be entered at any time.
Students can track their progress toward meeting UC’s requirements.
UC staff can communicate information to prospective transfer students.

Application filing periods

Fall quarter/semester 2022: November 1–30, 2021

Winter quarter 2022/spring semester 2022: July 1–31, 2021 (Note: Not all campuses are able to accept applications.)

UC Merced, UC Santa Cruz and UC Riverside are taking applications for Winter Quarter/Spring Semester!

UC Berkeley and UC Merced are on the semester system calendar while all other campuses are on the quarter system calendar. All campuses typically accept applications for the fall term. Winter/spring UC transfer opportunities are limited.

UC Transfer Admission Guarantee

University of California offers a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) to six of the University of California campuses to qualifying students. Information about TAG is available at:

The UC TAG submission for transfer Fall 2022 will be Sept 1-30, 2021.
