What is TRiO?
TRiO is a cluster of eight federally funded programs, which started in the 1960s in an effort to identify and provide educational opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The TRiO name is derived after the emergence of the first three programs: Upward Bound (UB), Talent Search (TS), and Student Support Services (SSS). Our TRiO programs serve students ranging from middle school up to the university level and each program has specific guidelines for enrollment.
At Yuba College, we have three projects that serve our community:
