Title 5 § 55003 (b) (4) Policies for Prerequisites, Corequisites and Advisories on Recommended Preparation states that “prerequisites and corequisites for vocational courses or programs shall be reviewed every two years.”
In order to document that the appropriate review is occurring, every two years, during the department and/or division meetings, faculty will meet to review and discuss prerequisites, co-requisites, and advisory classes for their programs. The minutes of those meetings shall reflect these reviews and recommended actions. These discussions also may occur during the curriculum update process, as well as during the program review process and summarized in the Program Review Report.
