CalWORKS
CalWORKs stands for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids. CalWORKs
is California’s s welfare reform program, designed to help families become self-sufficient
through a variety of educational and work-related activities including attendance
at Yuba Community College. As a leader in higher education, Yuba Community College
is committed to helping students, employers, and community partners:
- By offering CalWORKs students support and services that will help them complete
their educational goals and succeed in finding employment within their chosen field. - By helping local employers meet their employment needs while providing CalWORKs
students with hands-on work experience. - By working with CalWORKs case managers to ensure that students meet program requirements
while they are pursuing their employment/educational goals.
