Our goal is to assist you in bridging the gap between your own resources and the cost of attending college. We offer assistance with completing applications and providing information about the requirements of the various financial aid programs. Financial aid consists of federal grants, work study, state grants, fee waivers, and outside scholarships.

Please have your question(s), Student ID Number, and Photo ID ready. You will be taken to a “waiting room” to wait for the next available technician to meet with you. Do not close the window or leave waiting room or you will be disconnected, and you’ll lose your place in line.
Step 3. Meet with a Technician
A Technician will pull you into a meeting room, you do not need to do anything.

YCCD SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION – CURRENTLY CLOSED
- YCCD Foundation Scholarships will reopen during the Spring semester.
Registering for classes? Avoid getting dropped for non-payment!
Beginning Spring 2012, students who have not completed their fee payment arrangements after (10) ten days from the time of their registration will be subject to being dropped from their classes for non-payment of course fees.
However, you may qualify for a CC Promise Grant (Formerly known as the BOG Fee Waiver) to help cover the cost of your CA Resident enrollment fees.
Out of State/Country students or other course related fees, such as lab or materials fees, must be paid by the student.
Check the Financial Information/Account Summary link in
WebAdvisor to determine if you are at risk of being dropped from your classes for non-payment.
Apply for Federal and State Grants (including the CC Promise Grant, formerly known as the BOG):

- Allow at least 3-5 business days for processing.
- Then check your Self Service account for Award Updates.

Steps to Financial Aid
Students must apply for financial aid each year. The priority application period is October 1st through March 2nd for the following academic year; however, applications are available throughout the year. It is a good idea to plan ahead as the process is lengthy.

Complete the Application for Admission by selecting Admissions, Apply for Admissions, Apply Now from the link at https://yc.yccd.edu/ Be sure to provide your current mailing and email addresses.
Be sure to activate and use your YCCD Campus email. The College will be using this email to communicate with you.
Step 3
Log onto your Self Service to check on your application results via:
My Awards: Shows grants you were found income eligible for.
Required Documents: Shows any missing documents that need to be completed before your file is complete.
Return required documents to the Financial Aid Office to complete your file as soon as possible. Documents are processed on a first come, first served basis. During PEAK periods, processing time is as long as 8 weeks.
