Yuba College also offers a wide range of classes in Language Arts, Communication, Performing and Visual arts to suit the needs of our students. Many of the performances and art openings are the result of courses in either the Music, Theatre, Art, or Photography Department. Language Arts programs includes the departments of English, English as a Second Language (ESL), Reading, Speech, Foreign Language, Mass Communication, Education and General Studies. Many of this area’s classes fulfill key degree requirements for the Associate degree and for transfer. Various courses in the Division meet requirements in areas C,D and E.
Specific courses and programs offered in Language Arts include: Sign Language, German, Spanish, English and American Literature and work on the College newspaper . The Division also offers a wide-range of remedial classes in reading, writing and English as a Second Language.
